Patagonia Evermore Shoe Preview

Here's a quick little preview of Pataonia's minimal shoe named the Evermore. This is Patagonia's attempt to enter the minimal shoe market. 

 

 The shoe is a good weight and looks to be comfortable for a minimal shoe. The shoe offers a full outsole. It offers maybe alittle more protection then is needed in a minimal shoes, but people buying it for a transition shoe will enjoy that.

 

One thing that I am reading about the Evermore that is concerning is that people are reporting durability issues, nobody wants to pay $110.00 and have their shoe fall apart.

Here's a quick look at what the Patagonia site says about the Evermore.

The unbelievably light, ambassador-driven Evermore trail running shoe has guts galore when it comes to negotiating sketchy terrain above tree line. The shoe’s durable, breathable air mesh upper has a protective, microfiber overlay and drainage ports. A resilient leather toe bumper and heel provide added durability and protection. Inside, the integrated 2mm footbed has a Dri-Lex® cover and lining treated with Aegis™ Microbe Shield to control temps and moisture. A forefoot EVA rock plate distributes pressure and a light, soft-flexing EVA midsole encourages midfoot strike. For stable footing, the tough tacky-rubber sole has climbing lugs in forefoot, and rear-facing braking lugs in heel.
