Vibram Five Fingers SeeYa Review

Vibram Five Fingers have come a long way over the last couple years, When I bought my first pair of Vibram Five Fingers KSO I had to buy them online and there was not a lot of selection, now Vibram has about 15+ different types of Five Fingers and one of their newer styles is the Seeya.
The Seeya is designed to be a road running shoe. Unlike the Bikila that is a road running shoe that can be used in all other situations the Seeya is best suited to stay on pavement,
Here's what the Vibram Website say's about the Seeya.
The ultra-streamlined SeeYa is our newest performance option for serious minimalist runners. Designed to bring you even closer to the barefoot sensation, we’ve radically reduced overall weight and material with a more breathable mesh upper to deliver true, performance-driven footwear. Minimum rubber thickness in the outsole maximizes “foot feel” and flexibility, while a soft TPU midsole further reduces thickness and weight for natural movement. A stitched-in polyurethane insole protects skin and foot tissue during longer runs. For a snug fit, the lightweight, single-layer, stretch mesh upper has an adjustable hook-and-loop closure. 3M reflective applications for night running. Machine Washable. Air Dry.
Vibram Seeya review

The Seeya will feel more minimal compared to other Five Fingers, they are a thinner, lighter, more flexible pair of KSO's.

The Sole of  the Seeya is made out of TC1 rubber that you already find in Sprints,KSO's and other shoes. The Sole is somewhat divided into two parts with the heel and forefoot being separated by a plastic type of material.

The footbed is 3mm's of antimicrobial dri-lex polyurethane.

The Upper of the Seeya is more sock like then many other VFF's, it is made up of stretchy mesh with a tradition strap across the top. The Mesh makes the Seeya very breathable and will dry out quickly once running through a puddle.

The Seeya is super lightweight coming in at around 3.70-5.0 oz depending on the size, it is the lightest VFF on the market right now and it will be harder to make one lighter.

Conclusion:

If your looking for a very minimal pair of shoes for road running, the Seeya is your shoe. But if you are looking to have a all around pair of barefoot shoes well you may want to pass of the Seeya as it doesn't perform that great cross-training or on the trails. If your looking for a pair of shoes that will catch someone's eye again the Seeya is for you.
